The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co
is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Corporation and is
organized by practice groups that generally align with the Corporation s lines
of business and corporate staff areas. This structure encourages legal
teams and businesses and staff areas to discuss legal, regulatory and business
developments effectively and in a timely manner.
We are currently hiring a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel U.S.
Repo/Securities Financing. This position
is located in the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Legal Department
in Chicago. Responsibilities will include drafting, negotiating and
advising on the full range of documentation relating to repurchase arrangements
and securities financing transactions (including MRAs, GMRAs, MSLAs, MSTFAs)
and advising the front office on related structuring issues and regulatory
requirements. You will join a successful, well established team of
professionals, and will be provided with extensive training upon joining
followed by continued on the job support when needed.
The required
qualifications are:
5+ years of post-JD practicing experience with a major
law firm or in-house with a major financial institution Attorney's legal licensing must be in compliance with
the regulations of the local jurisdiction where the attorney will work.JD or educational equivalent required. Attorney
candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements
including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be
located prior to commencement of employment.Excellent writing skills, strong attention to detailPolished verbal and written communication skills;
strong interpersonal skillsAbility to manage projects and work independentlyTeam player, confident and proactiveAll candidates for roles in the Legal department must
successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to
