The Global Privacy Compliance Office has an opportunity for an Executive Director for Governance and Oversight. Reporting to the firm s Global Chief Privacy Officer, this role will lead the Global Privacy Office s effort to exercise its governance and oversight responsibilities to ensure the Firm complies with requirements related to the protection of personal information (PI) and client confidential information (CCI). This role will develop a more robust, holistic and globally consistent governance and oversight structure and facilitate engagement between the Global Privacy Office and LOBs and Corporate Functions Privacy Champions as well as LOB and regional compliance. The person will be responsible for creating and managing engagement models addressing the involvement of privacy stakeholders and their respective roles and responsibilities. This person will be expected to play a primary leadership role by partnering with key stakeholders, such as Compliance Functions and Control Functions, in executing the goals and objectives of the privacy program. Other important responsibilities include the following.Responsible for the privacy program governance, including operating models and engagement framework for Global Privacy Compliance, Regional/LOB Privacy Compliance, LOB and Corporate function Privacy Champions, and other key stakeholders.Develop and manage privacy compliance reports and metrics for Firmwide committees and senior management.Review and maintain external (public-facing) and internal (employee-facing) privacy policies and guidance materials and an internal repository documenting the Global Privacy Office s clarifications and interpretations of its policies or guidance.Support leadership team as they develop strategy for the use of personal information and client confidential information.Together with Regulatory Learning, develop education and communication plans and contentLead the Global Data Protection& Privacy Forum.Represent Privacy Compliance in various committees, councils, and workgroups, such as the Privacy Strategy and Risk Forum, the Corporate Proven track record of relevant Compliance, Risk Management, or Legal experience preferably within Financial ServicesLeadership, relationship-building, and influencing skills to drive agendas across multiple organizationsAbility to connect the dots on various efforts to efficiently and effectively implement programsStrong executionStrategic thinkerExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demandsOutstanding oral and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively at all levelsAdvanced degree preferred7-10 years of relevant experience
