Performs necessary credit analysis, due diligence, and review of documents for new transactions and monitors/manages ongoing performance/risk of accounts within his/her assigned portfolio under limited direction of senior staff. Recognized for superior credit knowledge, lending and transaction knowledge and analytical abilities. Serves as independent, key resource concerning credit issues on assigned portfolio of transactions. A contributing member of the business development deal team, managing all but the biggest and most complex transactions to completion with little or no guidance from immediate manager. Serves as a mentor to more junior underwriters and the banking division's credit analysts. BA/BBA/MBA, completion of a major corporate bank credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience) 8+ years in banking/lending experience which might include credit, structuring and marketing. Possesses significant accounting and finance knowledge, and commercial banking experience.Demonstrated superior verbal and written skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to mentor more junior underwriters.
