Export Finance ( EF ) provides medium and long term financing to international borrowers purchasing capital goods. The majority of our transactions are in capital intensive industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, and Transportation, and other infrastructure needs in emerging markets. We utilize Export Credit Agencies ( ECA ) and other multilateral/development organizations (such as the World Bank and OPIC) to support our financing structures through loan guarantees, direct loans, or insurance. ECAs are entities established by respective governments to promote national exports, in turn stimulating economic growth and creating and/or maintaining employment. The EF team interacts with GCB and IB relationship managers as a product /sales organization to provide ECA solutions for priority clients. EF is typically a lead product when JPMorgan is trying to build credentials in a new jurisdiction as it allows us to access a very senior level of the client organization and build relationships while managing our risk. EF works with distribution (both loan and bond distribution teams) to build new distribution avenues and limit the impact to JPMorgan s balance sheet. The global EF team is organized geographically with regional teams in New York, London, and Singapore, who manage our relationships with active borrowers of ECA financing, ECAs, and bank/investor partners. This role for EF in NY focuses on marketing Americas (North America, Central, and South America) based borrowers for the EF product suite, while also supporting our global client base for clients seeking leverage our Americas based ECAs and multilateral agencies. Key Responsibilities: In co-ordination with global EF management, develop and implement the business strategy for the AmericasLead a team of EF professionalsEstablish relationships with GT&LP, GCB (Relationship Bankers) , IB (Relationship & Products) and Functional Partners (Compliance, Credit Risk, Legal etc) both in NA and LARepresent EF Americas on Regional and Global deal Approval Committee sMaintain and expand relationships with major America s based ECAs and multi-nationalsOriginate, structure, market, execute and close EF transactionsUndertake responsible management of post -closing issues alongside Trade Solutions DeliveryManage experienced and junior resources in the region Represent the Americas on the EF management teamBe a Culture & Conduct leaderOffer guidance and direction to the team through the cycle of deal prospecting to closureProvide support on new EF initiatives for global EF managementSkills you will learn/acquire: Leading a teamLeading a Regional Product GroupInteraction with senior Regional managementInteraction with Functional Partners as both a product and people leader Strategic planning, management and monitoring or performance against plan
