The overarching purpose of this position is to ensure that Cox Media excels at product and technology strategy, management, development, delivery and team dynamics. The scope includes platforms, application deployment, program management, and infrastructure support, in order to enable execution of the companys strategic vision to serve our customers. As advanced technology redefines product requirements for advertising and marketing, this role entails responsibility for engaging and activating resources to simultaneously support identification of new enabling platforms and systems. It also involves lifecycle management of building and deploying new products in coordination with Cox Medias sales and in-market teams. Success in this position requires proven understanding of rapidly changing digital and video ad industry dynamics as well as deep working relationships with the people and vendors innovating new systems and technology. One central aspect of this leadership role is that it serves as the enabling link between complex and interdependent functions of digital products and enterprise technology. Examples include: Identifying and designing the technology to support sales channels with a B2B portal (complementing existing local and national sales channels today); Envisioning and building new CRM and marketing solutions to support increasingly sophisticated client segmentation. This role will lead a team of experienced leaders responsible for the following key areas: Product Development and Management: Cox Media is transitioning from business primarily focused on traditional linear ad spots to a comprehensive portfolio of digital and data-enabled advanced advertising products. This position will manage expansion of the companys entire product portfolio through collaboration with sales teams across multiple channels to define, document, and vet product feature/function requirements and then secure capital funding, initiate projects, and manage ongoing product development with CCI and external vendors. Ultimately this team will manage conception to operational launch of Cox Communications entire suite of advertising product offerings. Technology Enablement and Service Assurance: Technology underpins Cox Medias efforts to enable new ways to serve client needs with tech-intensive new services. Additionally, Cox Medias expansion into a broader portfolio requires re-envisioning fulfillment systems, processes, data visualization tools, spot placement algorithms, AI-based yield management platforms, and campaign management systems that integrate Cox Medias ad products with agencies and ad services consortiums. This role will define the overall technology roadmap that enables Order Entry to Cash business process and associated sub processes inclusive of all ad proposal, ad fulfillment platforms data management flows, campaign management, CRM, traffic process, multi-product billing capabilities/process, multi-screen video content ingest/playback, and legacy digital integration with new platforms such as TVE and addressable TV. Given the mission critical scale and impact of initiatives in the scope of this role, this leader must be able to nimbly navigate hurdles and overcome missed dependencies. Empowers program delivery teams with ability to experiment and learn to solve problems. Closely collaborates with the Operations team as a key client user of technology platforms and systems. Serves as vital liaison with CCI technology teams for network, application, and product dependencies. Designs and manages the Cox Media collision calendar of cross departmental projects and programs. Responsible for change management training, deployment, and implementation associated with new systems and products. Develops close partnership with sales leadership to ensure consistency in execution across all standardized roles, teams, strategies and tactics in all markets and sales channels. Works with Sales for effective product rollout in all assigned markets, budgeting and sales execution of each product, client feedback loop. Qualifications: BS/BA degree in related field. MBA/MS or technical masters degree preferred. Minimum of fifteen years experience within the video industry or similar relevant experience. Demonstrated industry level strategic insights and opinions. Demonstrated experience managing full product lifecycle development as well as experience in managing large enterprise scope software deployment and support programs. Strong verbal, analytical, problem solving/data synthesizing, and written communications skills. Proven bottom-line, market-driven orientation with the ability to translate ideas into tangible business plans. Demonstrated deep telco, tech, and ad industry expertise. Functional experience that encompasses knowledge of advertising, marketing, sales, customer service, finance, human resources, technology, and operations (including best practices cross industry perspective).
